FROM "HUMAN FIRECRACKER" TO BLOODLESS BULLFIGHTING
PALM BEACH AREA STUNTWOMAN BECOMES A MATADOR APPRENTICE
As a Teenager residing in Lake Worth FL, Cynthia "Cindy" Morrison
spent one weekend afternoon watching Hollywood's recreation of Spanish
Bullfighting in a production of "Blood and Sand". At first sight of the Matador
dancing with capes around a Bull she was intrigued. So much intrigued that
she grabbed a Bath Towel and headed outside with the family Dog and began
to recreate the art in her backyard.
35 years later she stumbled upon the fact that there are actually places
where one can train as a Matador's Apprentice. On May 1st, 2010 Cynthia did just
that. She traveled to California and became a Matador's Apprentice for
"Bloodless Bullfighting". The "Tienta" as the match is called took place in
Elk Grove CA. and was orchestrated by Matador Dennis Borba. "Bloodless
Bullfighting" is performed with the same motions and equipment
as traditional Bullfighting but without harm to the Bull. No spears or
piercing implements. Another Matador admits that the art of Bloodless
Bullfights is even more difficult as the Bull remains strong and healthy for the
entire match. Photos of Cynthia's Initiation Match can be seen at her
website:
No stranger to potentially Lethal sports she was also inspired by the
production of "Ivanhoe" during her childhood and later in life
she became a Two Time International Women's Jousting Champion and
founding director of Palm Beach Jousting.
Cynthia has performed various stunts for over a decade and is the Official
Stunt consultant at WILD 95.5 Radio. She recently appeared at "Ripley's
Believe It or Not!" in St Augustine Florida where she performed her latest stunt
as the "Human Firecracker". She was "Buried Alive" in an Open Coffin and had TEN
THOUSAND (10,000) Firecrackers ignited upon her.

As a Pioneering Woman of Sport during 1994 Cynthia was also the FIRST
Woman to compete in the Highland Games Heavy Athletics in Scotland. Info. and
