First Performed October 28, 2008

For our first Mount Dora Ghost Tour ® performance we wanted to create and reinvent the genera by providing a novel experience never staged before on any ghost tour in the country, as far as we knew. Our formula included the creation of an intimate parlor theater experience that combined storytelling, acting, stage magic and finally, a unique introduction performed by a marionette  prior to the one hour long Mount Dora Ghost Walk®.

The idea was to have the ghostly apparition of a puppet version of the historical Dora Drawdy, telling about the different legends inside the lore of a Haunted Mount Dora ® and warning the visitors about possible scary moments from the beyond as they walked the dark streets and alleys of the city.

Lasting only 5 minutes but utilizing displays of lights and sound effects, the introduction monologue took place in a cemetery, establishing with that the proper atmosphere that ultimately invited the audience to a total immersion into the emotional tones of the tour.

This marionette performance continued for the regular season until finally put to rest prior the inauguration of the special Christmas 2008 program.

This show was perfomed by Hector De Leon & Thomas Davis.
