We went from Victorina London straight into Cracker Florida by adapting the story through the use of period clothing and lifestyle. On Christmas Eve, rather than a snow storm, most residents of 1880's Mount Dora may have stayed outdoors to enjoy the nice coolness of the evening or, depending on the weather, indoors avoiding the mosquitoes.
